3 Things: Spring Beauty

There is something about this time of year that leaves me itching to incorproate some new beauty products into my routine. Maybe it’s the changing weather, maybe it’s the spring cleaning or maybe it’s juts my persistent longing for summer, whatever the reason it feels as good of a time as any to experiment a little. So I have, and I’ve found a few products that I just can’t get enough of.

Sally Hansen Colour Therapy: There are few things as simple as a new nail colour to brighten your spirits. I've been a loyal Sally Hansen fan for many years now (the Hard as Nails base coat and Instadry top coat are literally all I use) but this is the first time I’ve tried their Colour Therapy collection. Powder Room is the perfect neutral if you're looking for something a little more interesting and exciting for your nails this spring. It's a subtle nude shimmer that gives a beautiful pearlescent pink touch to the nails. With a base and a top coat I get a good 5 days out of it before I need a refresh plus the argan infused formula helps to nourish my nails.

Miller Harris Rose Silence: Rose isn't a scent for everyone but I love it and think when it's done right it can be so beautifully sophisticated. This rose scent isn’t as intense as others I’ve tried, with it’s mix of blackcurrant, mandarin and sandalwood. It smells distinctly different and is the perfect floral scent to carry you into the spring. I find it lasts well and develops into a lovely deeper scent throughout the day.

L'Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil: This is something I've used on and off for years but the second I decided to take my hair lighter again at the start of March I bought this back out. I apply one pump through the ends of towel-dried hair every time I wash my hair and find it really helps to leave my hair feeling softer but also tames the frizziness I can experience. If my hair is feeling particuarly dry then I’ll take a few pumps through the ends and leave it in for as more of a treatment for a few hours before I wash it and find this is a really easy way to get an extra boost of nourishment into my hair. Now that the ends are much lighter this has been really great at helping to protect my colour and leave my hair in a good condition.
