The New Makeup Picks

Recently a few new makeup pieces have made their way into my makeup bag. From bases to lips to eyes, there are plenty of new things that I have been loving but 3 things in particular really stood out for me. They have made their way into my daily make up routine and I can't get enough of them. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk

This cult foundation has a huge following and it's clear why. With a medium buildable coverage and incredibly lightweight texture, Luminous Silk is comfortable to wear even in the middle of summer. It perfects without masking and gives a beautiful radiant finish that blends seamlessly to the texture of your skin. Even in the warm summer weather it works with your skin and lasts all day. A touch of powder at lunchtime across any oilier areas will see you through until the evening and help to prolong the wear.

L'Oréal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara

Finding a reliable mascara that builds volume, lasts and doesn't leave lashes feeling heavy or clumpy can be challenging. So much of it is down to personal taste and they types of brushes that work for you. With it's unique shape the False Lash Sculpt works to grab every individual lash from the smallest to the longest and cost each one with a jet black formula. The butterfly shape of the wand also helps to give the illusion of more volume by adding product to your tight line and enhancing the look of your lashes. It contains tiny fibres that help to build the lashes further to give the greatest impact, leaving your lashes looking truly incredible. Although it's a non-waterproof formula it lasts all day and an oil-based eye makeup removed is the easiest way to remove this.

L'Oréal Paris Color Riche 229 Lipstick

An orange-red lipstick is the perfect option for summer. It's the quickest way to brighten any look and no other colour screams summer quite like it. A fully matte formula can feel uncomfortable so this almost-matte finish has all the lasting power of a matte lipstick but is more comfortable to wear. It makes no claims about lasting power but you can expect several hours wear from this, even if you're eating and drinking. Top it up after lunch to ensure the colour stays as vibrant as possible and apply a swipe of liner first if you're concered that it may bleed around the edges. Personally this formula has stayed put well and is the quickest way to add that burst of colour to any summer look, especially if your wardrobe may not have quite as many pops of colour!
