Summer is here and as with every season there are a few things I like to try out and add into the mix when it comes to make up. Switching make up around to suit the season is half of the fun, playing with different looks and experimenting with different styles. A little summer luxury, a bit of newness and how I've been updating my make up look.

Base

A light base in the warmer months is always a must and the two latest additions to my line up are the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the Kiehls Clearly Corrective Dark Circle Corrector. Luminous Silk is that perfect summer-proof base. Hardly detectable on the skin and exceptionally light it blends out to give a beautiful radiant glow whilst still lasting all day. It achieves that healthy summer glow without leaving you looking a little sweaty. The Kiehls Dark Circle Corrector is somewhere between a treatment and a concealer. It helps to reduce the dark circles over time (more on that later) whilst offering a hint of coverage. On a simple make up day this is enough for me to brighten the area but it also layers underneath a more heavy duty concealer if I need that extra bit of help.

Bronzer

The Clarins Aquatic Treasures Bronzing Compactsare always an exciting launch and no matter which year you pick one up they're a great investment. The multiple tones see you all the way through from the first hint of a tan, to the middle of the summer right through to the Autumn and look beautiful on the skin. They're they perfect way to add warmth to the skin.

Eyes 

Keeping everything in place is key so the Urban Decay Primer Potion is a must-have for me. It primes my eyelids perfectly leaving a smooth base for any other products whilst keeping everything in place and preventing any creasing or smudging even in the warmest of weather. The simple shimmery eye is my go to during the summer. The Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise are the perfect products for this. Super lightweight, heavily pigmented with a gorgeous sheen, Jean is my go-to for brightening my eyes and keeping things looking effortlessly put together.

Lips

Light wearable lip colours are always the best call for summer. The Estée Lauder Pure Colour Lip Gloss is the perfect shade for summer giving that golden look when worn alone or bringing another shade to life when worn as a top coat. The gold glitter enhances the high shine finish but is undetectable on the lips.
