L'Oréal Paris Pure Clay Masks

One of the biggest skincare launches recently have been the L'Oréal Paris Pure Clay Masks. Being the first masks in L'Oréal Paris's skincare line these have flown of the shelves, blink and you'll miss them. There's good reason for all the hype, jumping on the multi-masking trend these masks are perfectly designed to be used all at once, one at a time or in any other combination that works for you. Whether you're looking to purify, detox or brighten your skin there will be a mask for you. Multi-masking is something I've mentioned before and is a technique I've used for a long time. Each area of your skin has a different ailment so it only seems right to tailor this part of your routine to reflect this. All three masks contain 3 clays that work together to deliver high level results alongside one hero ingredient; eucalyptus in Purity, black charcoal in Detox and red algae in Brighten.

Purity When your skin needs deep cleansing and calming purity is ideal. It leaves skin feeling refreshed whilst deep cleaning pores and reducing inflammation caused by breakouts. Where I apply it: across my nose and cheeks to combat blocked pores and signs of pollution

Detoxify If your skin is looking congested and you're suffering from lots of blackheads Derox is perfect. The black charcoal works to draw out impurities from deep in the skin to not only get rid of blackheads but help to absorb excess sebum and oil that can lead to further blackheads in the future. Where I use it: across my chin where I tend to have most blackheads and more signs of congestion

Brighten The perfect option if you're working hard and partying harder, it revives your skin with the addition of red algae, combined with a gentle physical exfoliator that buffs away dull and dead skin to reveal smooth and supple skin. Unlike the others this one doesn't dry down like a traditional clay mask and doesn't feel like a normal clay mask on the skin. Where I use this: across my cheeks and forehead where my skin tends to looks most dull and get the driest.

The formula of all of these masks is brilliant. They aren't too heavy on the skin and although purity and Derox do dry down they aren't heavy and uncomfortable to wear. I leave them on for a minimum of 10 minutes but for even better results I like to stretch to 15 or 20 minutes, longer if I'm relaxing in a nice warm bath. The results are instant, from the second you remove them you skin is visibly clearer and brighter, simply more perfected. The results last too, I tend to apply masks in the evening but by the next morning my skin is still looking more radiant. That evening my follow-up skincare seems to apply better and the next day my makeup site that little better.

With an RRP of £7.99 these are very affordable masks and with at least 10 applications per jar the cost per use makes them even more affordable. If you prefer to stick to one mask that's fine, pick the one that works for you and enjoy the results but if you like a bit of multi-masking or want to see what this latest skincare trend is all about then head to your local Boots and give these a go.
