3 Things: For A Radiant Base

Over indulgence, a lack or exercise and general tiredness after the party season will inevitably leave your skin looking a little worse for wear. Of course drinking more water, reinstating a healthier diet and getting your skincare routine back to normal are the best ways to get your skin looking radiant again but this can take time and sometimes all you really want are some instant results. Whilst your skin is recovering there are a few products, and types of products, that can really help to give that added boost to your complexion and generally leave everything looking a little fresher.

A Luminous Primer

Combating the dullness in your skin with a luminous primer is the easiest way to fight the signs of dehydration and tirdness. The L'Oréal Paris Lumi Magique Primer gives a radiant finish to the skin without leaving things looking greasy or as though you have applied highlighter across your entire face. It's a very lightweight texture so it doesn't feel as though you're wearing an extra layer on your face and the tiniest amount blends out to give a subtle but beautiful radiance to the skin. If radiance is all you're after then just pop a little of this in with your moisturiser and you're ready to go.

A Radiant Foundation With Coverage

A little bit of foundation can go a long way, especially at this time of year. Opt for something with a healthy dose of radiance but that also has a good coverage. After an exhausting December your skin can look a little more red than usual and you may even have a few blemishes rearing their little heads. The Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk is my go-to as it will leave my skin looking radiant and natural whilst also offering enough coverage to blur areas of redness around my nose and breakouts on my chin.

A Cream Blusher

Blusher can seem a little daunting if, like me, you can tend to look a little too red-face when it's applied. A cream formula is excellent for when your skin isn't at it's best though. The hint of colour will give your complexion the boost it needs and leave it looking healthier whilst the cream formula will work well alongside the primer and foundation for a more natural look to the skin that wont cling to any drier areas on the cheeks. The H&M Pure Velvet Cream Blushers are easy to work with and add enough colour to the cheeks without being too much.

Soon enough all of us will have fully recovered from the Christmas period but whilst we're waiting there's no harm in helping our complexions to look that little bit brighter on the chilly January mornings.
