The Newletters You Need In Your Inbox
Remember back when you were a kid and the idea of getting an email was so exciting? Every email you received was opened (no wonder computers were so full of viruses) and you couldn't imagine having thousands of unread emails just sitting there. Now we all receive more emails than we know what to do with and wading through them all to find ones you actually want to read can be a struggle.
We all receive so many, and a lot of them are either pointless, bills or work related. Discovering newsletters (yes, I’m late to the party) has been a bit of a game-changer though, it’s got me excited to open my inbox and there’s something so lovley about having emails that you actually want to spend the time reading. So, as part of my ongoing effort to make the internet and social media that I consume a bit more positive I’ve been relying on newsletters. There are so many out there but here are a few that always have me excited to open my inbox, whether you’re looking for something monthly, weekly or daily.
An Edited Life: On the first Monday of every month Anna Newton’s newsletter drops into my inbox. Along with her monthly "lesson" she shares a few articles she's enjoyed in the past few weeks, a round up of pieces from her blog and 4 things she's loved in the past month. It's full of practical advice and great things I probably wouldn't otherwise see. There’s also usually a great recipe that gives me some dinner inspiration for the week. What more could you want?
The Daily Good: Every morning (or lunchtime if you're UK based like me) The Good Trades' newsletter drops into my inbox. With something to do, read, listen to or follow each day there's always something interesting. From independent brands, a different perspective or some beautiful inspiration, it's always a pleasant addition to my inbox. It’s short, to the point and the perfect addition to your inbox.
The Monday Motivator: This is the perfect slice of positivity in your inbox every Monday. Generally I think Charlotte is a total ray of sunshine but this is just what I need on a Monday to get me in a positive mindset for the week ahead. After a quick weekend roundup she shares some wise words (this week’s is all about body confidence and she’s hit the nail on the head), some recent blog posts in case you’ve missed them along with some beautiful feeds that you should be following and some other beautiful things to inspire you on a Monday lunchtime.
If you’re looking for ways to brighten your inbox, take in some of the goodness that is on the internet but not quite immerse yourself in yet more scrolling then newsletters are a grat way to do that. They’re a brilliant way of seeing more content from the people whose work you enjoy and keeping up to date on anything else you may have missed (because let’s face it, we all know we’re all busy all of the time). Sign up to a couple that take your fancy and finally have something that you’re pleased to see in your inbox, instead of just endless Uber receipts…
