The One That Everyone Is Sure To Like: First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser
When looking for a second cleanser I don't ask for miracles. I just want something gentle and nourishing that will remove any surface oil and dirt, pick up any remaining traces of make up and leave my skin feeling clean without being stripping. Initially the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, despite fulfilling all of these criteria, didn't knock my socks off. However, after running out of my travel sized bottle I soon started to miss it from my skincare routine and had to pick up the full-sized bottle.
As you would expect from First Aid Beauty, a brand that prides itself of high quality skincare that's formulated with sensitive skin in mind, this is a very gentle yet effective cleanser. The almost whipped, pearlescent cream is very light on the skin. A little goes a long way and it massages beautifully into the skin before effortlessly removing any make up residue or surface oils with a warm flannel. Allergey tested and fragrance free this is packed with botanical ingredients ideal for even the most sensitive. After a recent break out (for which I am holding another cleanser responsible) this has been brilliant for calming any areas of redness and keeping my skin clean without stripping or aggravating it.
This is my go-to cleanser after removing make up in the evening and gentle enough to be used the following morning too if I feel like my skin needs a more effective cleanse than just a swipe of micellar water. It isnt a cleanser that you use once and think that your life has been changed however after continued use it has become a reliable staple in my routine and one that has slowly but surly done wonders for my skin. It's the kind of product that you notice the minute it is removed from your routine and are itching to repurchase. For now my skin is craving simple effectiveness and this is perfect, whether you have more mature skin, sensitive or acne-prone/teenage skin then this is a cleanser that few could go wrong with.
First Aid Beauty is another US brand that has recently become much easier to get hold of in the UK, being stocked in Selfridges, feelunique.co.uk, BeautyBay.co.uk and Lookfantastic so thankfully we can now all get hold of this hidden gem a lot more easily. Im yet to try a product that I haven't been impressed with. Do you have any recommendation of products that I must try from the range?
